10th Grade Academy
Ms. Francisco: SLC Lead Teacher
Mr. Montjo: Counselor
It is the mission of the Tenth Grade Academy to assist sophomores in achieving their personal and academic goals and in deciding and preparing for their future within the framework of a college bound and career ready culture. It is through our instructional delivery and social emotional supports system, that all students are expected to achieve their goals.
Goal: Rigorous and effective CCSS instruction and practices will enable students to achieve the A-G Requirements sequence and graduate from high school, college prepared and career ready.
Objective: To support students through the implementation of clear and consistent expectations.
College Bound and Career Ready Culture: Once students are acculturated to high school, the next step is to create forward-thinking students preparing for the future. The staff of the 10th Grade Academy will work to assist students in developing goals for life after Panorama High School. Part of that process is having all students complete the PSAT to start making the goal of college attendance a reality.
Vertical Aspects: Completion of A-G requirements for grade level
Honors: provide the foundations for a stronger Honors/AP program by teachers collaborating across grade levels to identify and develop students that will be successful in a more rigorous curriculum.
School-wide: Vertical meeting within departments
Exploration of post-secondary opportunities
CAHSEE: Proficiency for all
